“Do not be afraid,” and “Peace be with you.” Thanks to Deacon Clarke Cochran, for his July 3 commentary “Catholics and guns.” I am not anti-gun, but I too believe that guns should be restricted.
I would guess that as many guns are involved in suicides and drug deals gone awry as in defense of home and loved ones, and I wholeheartedly agree that some of the restrictions suggested would help to prevent mass shootings.
A heavily armed general population would seem to me to be the least Gospel-based way to address what are most certainly societal problems.
