JEFFERSON — Araceli Barcenas is the 2018 winner of a $1,000 annual scholarship recently presented by the St. Francis of Assisi Men’s Club.
Barcenas will attend the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in the fall to begin studies in pre-medicine.
The award was presented by Club President Rick LaBonte and Father James Stuhrenberg, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
