CHARLOTTE — People are invited to pray for seven men expected to be ordained priests in June 2024 using special kneelers now making their way to parishes across the Diocese of Charlotte.
The special kneelers, or prie-dieus, are commissioned each year for the ordinands by the Mary’s Sons apostolate.
The kneelers travel to parishes across the diocese to allow the faithful to pray for vocations and the seven men expected to be ordained priests: Deacons Matthew Wayne Dimock Jr., Christian Joseph Goduti, Matthew Philip Harrison II, Kevin Ruben Martinez, José Alfredo Palma Torres, Elliott Cade Suttle, and Kevin Michael Tran.
Journals also accompany the kneelers so people can convey their well-wishes to the future priests.
The kneelers, pictured at Immaculate Conception Church in Hendersonville, will be given to the new priests at their ordination at St. Mark Church in Huntersville on June 15, 2024.
Parishes scheduled to host the kneelers in the coming weeks include:
April 22-29: Our Lady of Mercy, Winston-Salem (7 kneelers)
