112219 St Benedict workWINSTON-SALEM — Members of St. Benedict the Moor Church, led by the parish’s building and grounds commission gathered Oct. 18 to assist the church in efforts to update school facility fixtures and bring standards to code.

Team members in conjunction with Father Henry Tutuwan, pastor, installed a trash-can in Phase 1 of plans to install a total of three outdoor trash collection bins on the church grounds.

The team also installed new smoke detectors and light bulbs in the school, which also hosts catechism classes.

MOORESVILLE — The Community Thanksgiving Meal Committee invites residents of Mooresville and surrounding communities to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal hosted by St. Therese Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28.

Families and individuals who may want to spend the afternoon in community and enjoy a fantastic meal are invited to join together to give thanks and feast on turkey with all the trimmings.

The traditional Thanksgiving meal will be held in the church’s Parish Life Center, located at 217 Brawley School Road.
