JEFFERSON — The St. Francis of Assisi Parish community honored of its two oldest members at a birthday reception recently. Alberta Raysinger turned 100 and Frank Turnmire turned 99 on April 16.

GASTONIA — St. Michael Church pastor Father Lucas Rossi received the Pope St. John Paul II award from Paul Kotlowski during a Mass May 19.
Father Rossi received the award for his dedication and work with the young church in many areas: youth group, St. Michael School, faith formation and sacramental preparation.
