Serving Christ and Connecting Catholics in Western North Carolina

010317 curlinCHARLOTTE —Bishop Emeritus William G. Curlin has celebrated the 10 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve at St. Vincent de Paul in Charlotte every year since 2004.

Last year, his health was not so well and I thought that it may be the last time, but he made it again this year.

In the sacristy, Bishop Curlin, the third bishop of the Diocese of Charlotte, is pictured with Father Mark Lawlor and Father Casey Coleman. The server in the background is John Stewart.
On Dec. 20th, Bishop Curlin celebrated his 28 anniversary as a bishop. In the spring of 2017, he will celebrate the 60th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.
