Parish Manager - St. Therese Catholic Church - Mooresville, NC

We are seeking a full-time, professional Parish Manager. This position directs the day-to day administration of the parish office and coordinates some pastoral ministries. The position requires both strong financial and personnel management skills and experience in directing pastoral ministry. St. Therese is a large, multi-cultural parish incorporating Vatican II decrees.

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Direct the finances, supervision of parish office staff, grounds and maintenance, facility scheduling, communications and stewardship
  • Manage the human resources of the parish
  • Coordinate the pastoral and social ministry in the parish undertaken by various ministers and committees
  • Foster welcoming, collaborative, and high-quality ministry by pastoral staff, parish leadership, and parishioner pastoral ministers

Candidate Requirements include the following:

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with some business courses
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration, including financial and personnel management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks

Additionally, the candidate must be able to manage accounts payable and receivable; manage daily and monthly business operation needs such as payroll; oversee the development and implementation of the Annual Parish Plan and supervise parish office staff. Must have flexibility in work hours to meet the needs and availability of our parishioners. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
